Why does the solvent-based gravure ink lose dots after printing?

Release Time:

Apr 28,2017

The loss of printing points is often caused by the following reasons:

1. During seasons with high temperatures and humidity, especially on days with fluctuating temperatures and continuous rain, static electricity can be a significant factor.

2. The components in the ink system, specifically unreasonable solvent ratios that do not create a volatilization gradient.

3. The printing machine speed is too slow. Especially when the ink film dries too early after printing (since the ink film dots are composed of multiple mesh holes, if the bottom of the holes is deep and the ink transferred is thick, it forms a thick film that cannot be printed out or transferred).

4. Alcohol-soluble inks, like other inks, will also experience the loss of printing points if the above issues are present.

3. Introduce 1010 antioxidants.

4. Control the temperature and humidity in the workshop.

5. Move the doctor blade down a little.

6. Reduce the printing pressure slightly.

Improvements can be made from the above aspects.
